Position Title: EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS/ RESPONSE OFFICER
Description:
The Emergency Response officer is responsible for managing the
emergency planning for hurricanes and other natural and man made
disasters.
Job Responsibilities:
• Maintain and enhance emergency contingency planning all ready
in place for the organization.
• Coordinate program managers and other department heads emergency
planning and budgeting
• Report weekly to Country Director on status of emergency preparedness
• Identify vulnerabilities within the context of an emergency
and maker recommendations for risk mitigation
Qualifications:
• Experience in Emergency Preparedness and Response with government
agency or NGO
• Experience in Hurricane Preparedness planning
• Experience withUN inter-agency cooperation.
• French (desirable).
• Previous experience in Haïti (desirable).

Position Title: TEACHER OF VOCATIONAL SKILLS VOLUNTEER
(Examples of vocational skills include but are not limited to carpentry, masonry, basic electric and mechanic skills, metal works, crafts, beauty/cosmetics (manicure/pedicure), hairdressing etc.)
Reports to Community Program Officer/Camp Manager
Location of position: Petionville Club and Boulos Camps, Port-au-Prince, Haiti
Description:
During a stay of 6-8 weeks, the volunteer will teach his field
of expertise to a group of residents of one of Haiti's largest
post-earthquake transition camps. Participants to this training
will be selected based on their vulnerability criteria and prior
experience. Prior to departure, the volunteer will develop a curriculum
and a list of materials for the vocational training. J/P HRO will
allocate a project assistant for the full term of the training
to translate, procure materials, help in the selection process,
act as a disciplinary agent and generally assist. The volunteer
will provide a list of materials needed and J/P HRO will be responsible
for procuring them. A standard grant will be given for materials
and, depending on the cost, additional fundraising for program’s
material would be done by the volunteer.
Responsibilities:
• Prior to departure, develop a curriculum and a list of materials
needed for the vocational training
• Fundraise for the program’s materials, if needed (J/P HRO will
provide a standard grant for material purchases, which could have
to be supplemented depending on program costs)
• Teach the curriculum to a group of camp residents for a period
of 6-8 weeks
• Issue certificates to candidates who have successfully completed
the program
• Work with candidates to find them jobs
Qualifications:
• Qualification in field of expertise
• Qualification in teaching field of expertise desirable
• Fluency in English
• Fluency in French and/or Creole desirable
• International development experience desirable

Camp
Project Manager
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and 3 years
experience in Project Management and managing different teams.
Experience in NGO coordination, protection, risk, mitigation,
shelter. English, Coordinate with Program Support to ensure availability
of the necessary camp operating stock, within program budget.
French and Haitian Créole proficiency required.
Le candidat retenu aura obtenu une License ainsi qu’un minimum
de 3 ans d’expérience en gestion de projet et en gestion de différentes
équipes. Expérience dans la coordination des ONG, protection,
l’atténuation des risques, des abris. La coordination avec le
programme de soutien pour assurer la disponibilité du stock de
fonctionnement du camp nécessaire. Maitrise de l’Anglais, du Français
et du Crole haïtien requises.
Program
Development Officer
The successful candidates will have experience in research for
grant programs, write funding applications, and coordinate and
lead the activities of all grant/donor programs. Bachelor’s Degree
in a relevant field required, minimum of 3 years of work experience.
English, French proficiency required.
